Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The DC Print Operator works under close supervision processing and monitoring basic printing tasks on an assigned schedule.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process and track computer production jobs and print jobs.
- Operate and troubleshoot DC Printing workstations, address printer and RISO printers.
- Operate the Kodak Printer.
- Report inventory levels of production supplies.
- Communicate within Mail Center regarding job status, anticipated delays, and resource scheduling.
- Maintain and support backup systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Entry level position
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows is required.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools is required.
- Confident, self-starting, and goal oriented.
- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of supervisory and non-supervisory employees.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Requires the ability to work with a high amount of accuracy.
- Analytical skills to find solutions to technical and system problems.
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:
- Computers, pallet jack, folders, cutters, RISO & Kodak printers, fax machine, copy machine, dolly.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to sit at a computer for a minimum of seven hours per day.
- Must be able to stand for a minimum of seven hours per day.
- Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, telephones and other office equipment.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
- Must be able to pull, push, stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, move or carry equipment.
- Requires manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools.

- Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans.
- Must be very organized and require minimum instruction.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Works in a typical print shop setting.
- Job may require working evenings or weekends.

- Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension, difficulties and divisions.
- Must maintain a good attendance and punctuality record.
