Sangre de Cristo Community Care is currently looking for a qualified Music Therapist to join our dynamic team in Pueblo, Colorado. Sangre de Cristo Community Care is the Southern Colorado leader in enhancing the quality of life and maintaining the integrity of individuals and their families in need of supportive or end-of-life services by offering symptom management, support, comfort, and compassion.

The Music Therapist works closely with the interdisciplinary team to identify therapy needs of patients and caregivers. Working independently while having the support of other therapists, leadership, and the healthcare team. The Music Therapist will provide 1:1 therapy and facilitate groups and may assist the bereavement department with counseling needs.

This is a full time benefit eligible position.

Requirements

Must have an understanding of the Hospice philosophy

Degree in Music Therapy from a college, university or equivalent; and holds credential of MT-BC (Music Therapist - Board Certified)

At least two years of experience as a practicing Music Therapist, including experience with hospice care

Expertise in counseling, crisis intervention, family systems, grief resolution

Valid non-restricted drivers license
