The Position: We are looking for an Energy Marshal to complement our experienced workforce. This position is located at our project in Columbus, Ohio. The Energy Marshal will have a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. The Energy Marshal has authority in activities associated with commissioning, Lockout/Tag Out and working on energized or de-energized equipment on behalf of ISC.
Applicants should have the ability to:
- Familiarity with multiple levels of power redundancy and major electrical equipment typically used in data center construction (Electrical Switchgear (MV & LV), Transformers (MV & LV), Uninterrupted Power Supply Systems, Automatic Transfer Switches, Generators, Power Distribution Units, Etc.)
- Conducting pre-energization walks with the supervision, quality and project stakeholders.
- Prepare, Review, submit and close out detailed Methods of Procedure outlining safe equipment energization steps.
- Manage all equipment energizations to ensure the safety of all is prioritized and maintained.
- Managing a small crew of competent personnel to execute Lockout/Tagout and commissioning activities.
- Management of ISC Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program.
- Coordination with General Contractor.
- Coordination with Owner's representatives.
- The lockout/tagout plan created by the supervisor must follow all OSHA specific guidelines and still be completely specific to the types of equipment overseen. All components of hazardous equipment should be identified and considered in the creation of lockout/tagout procedures.
- Confirming all required QA/QC is complete and documentation has been submitted.
- Confer with safety and site management to establish and maintain documentation tracking and reporting procedures on the project.
- Must make certain that all affected employees understand the purpose and are up to date on all LOTO safety guidelines and procedures.
- Acquire growing awareness of client relations through communication and personal interaction.
- Support miscellaneous office administration as required.
Qualifications: - Minimum six (10) years in the Electrical industry and four (4) years in supervision.
- Achieves the cut score on the NCCER test and successful completion of the performance verification (Certified +).
- Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment, drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks.
- Must complete NCCER's Fundamentals of Crew Leadership training within one (1) calendar year
- Maintains a current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Must be trained in Electrical Safe Work Practices, including NFPA 70E Flash Hazard Training.
- Participates in an approved soft skills training course.
